Welcome to Our Worship Services
High Holidays 5785
Tickets: As a matter of security, a guard will be positioned at the synagogue entrance and tickets will be required to enter the synagogue. Congregants, their guests, and non-members who have not yet received tickets should contact Michelle Davis at the synagogue office by email (admin@britshalomstatecollege.org) or by phone (814.238.4611) for assistance.
Please Note: For additional security the doors to the building will be locked 30 minutes after each service starts.
Parking Information: The upper (western) parking lot of Brit Shalom will be reserved for people needing access by way of the handicap-accessible ramp at the synagogue’s side door. On-street parking will be permitted, but only on the synagogue side of Hamilton Avenue. Parking will also be available in the upper parking lot of the Christian Science Church except during Neilah services on Wednesday, October 2th. At no time are we permitted to park in the church’s lower parking lot.
BABY SITTING: This year, we’ll be offering no-cost babysitting for children ages 1-9 (in two groups: 1-4 and 5-9) on the mornings of First Day of Rosh Hashanah (Tuesday September 23) and Yom Kippur (Thursday October 2). Parents will need to make reservations with Michelle Davis in the synagogue office (814-238-4611 or admin@britshalomstatecollege.org).
Additionally, we shall have two rooms downstairs for parents and children. One will be for nursing mothers, and the other for families whose children are having a hard time sitting still. Both rooms will have a live-stream display of the services.

Attending Our Services Remotely
By clicking the Livestream button below, your tablet or computer will be connected to a YouTube channel on which you can view the High Holiday Services remotely. And by clicking on the Prayer Book button, you will be able to follow the worship prayers .
As is our tradition, the Second Day Rosh Hashanah service and Minchah service on Yom Kippur will be more in the Conservative style, and we’ll be using the black prayer book, Mahzor Hadash, which is not available in digital form. You may borrow a Mahzor Hadash from the synagogue by contacting Michelle Davis.
