Ohev Sholom Cemetery--An Educational Trip

Join Religious School students and parents as we journey to Ohev Sholom Cemetery outside Lewistown to learn about Jewish cemetery customs, to bury holy books that are worn out, to dedicate a new section of the cemetery. We’ll meet at Brit Shalom at 10 AM and caravan to the cemetery. If you prefer to get there on your own, we plan to begin the program around 10:45-11:00. The program will last a little over an hour.

If you would like to bring some holy books (books with God’s name printed in them) to bury, please come along.

If you have books to bury but cannot come along, please bring them to Brit Shalom before Friday May 15th, and we’ll transport them.

All are invited. The program will be suitable for all ages.

(Please bring shovels to help cover the books; the hole will have already been dug.)

Religious school families can RSVP to Marjorie.Stromberg@gmail.com
