Food Fair

Congregation Brit Shalom is hosting our Food Fair fund-raising event in the Social Hall on Sunday Dec. 6, 2026, from 11:30 am – 2:00 p.m.  Religious school families are invited to join us for a meal at 11:30 and it will be open to the public at 12 noon. This is also the 3rd night of Chanukah so join us to eat a meal of latkes and soup. Other goodies and crafts will also be available for sale. We encourage you to invite your friends, neighbors and co-workers.

We are hoping that you will contribute to this event to make it a success. There are lots of ways to participate that suit your talents and abilities! Find something you would like to do and sign up!

Latke Team

We will be preparing latkes for the Food Fair on Thursday Dec. 3 in the CBS kitchen. We plan to have 3 cooking shifts from 10am-12pm, 12-2 pm and 2-4 pm and need 4 people per shift.

You can sign up here or contact Esther Siegfried (siegfriedesther44@gmail.com).

All the supplies are provided.

Baked Goods, Crafts and Monetary Donations

Share your best and beloved recipes with the community! A core part of the Food Fair is the sale of the delicious homemade treats that have been donated. We hope that you can make a contribution this year. To help us plan, please complete this easy online form to indicate what you plan to bring and about how much. You can also contact Karen Scherba at kdwensch@gmail.com with questions or to sign-up.

The baked goods donations need to be delivered to the CBS social hall on Friday Dec. 4 during office hours when our office manager Michelle Davis is in the building or Sunday Dec. 6 between 8:30- 10 am

This year we are also offering homemade crafts. For those of you who are crafty we welcome your creative contribution. They will make a great Chanukah gift for someone!

The crafts will be displayed on a separate table and are available for sale. Sign up here with what you plan to bring.

Alternatively, you can support the Food Fair by making a monetary donation here and indicating that it is for the Food Fair.

 Volunteers at the Food Fair

Many hands make light work! Volunteer a couple hours, make new friends and help make the Food Fair a success! We need people to help set up, staff the cashiers, the baked good and craft tables, as well as serve the food and clean up.

We would love for you to join! You can sign up for a task and time here or contact Esther Siegfried (siegfriedesther44@gmail.com)
